Hole In One International Insures a Shot at Glory!

Phoenix, AZ - Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hit a shot on the famed par-3, 16th hole at the TPC Scottsdale during the Waste Management Phoenix Open?

Two lucky golf fans (one of whom is pictured to the left), along with a host of local media personalities, Hollywood celebrities, community heroes and tournament sponsors got the chance to do exactly that a few weeks ago as they teed-it-up for charity in a unique closest-to-the-pin contest known as the “Shot at Glory", which took place immediately following the FBR/Xerox Silver Pro-Am prior to the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Tournament hosts, The Thunderbirds, award more than $100,000 to the celebrities' chosen charities during this unique event. And, if any participant was lucky enough to make a hole-in-one, Hole In One International was there to pay $1,000,000 to the charity of the acemaker's choice, thanks to Mark Hester of Hester, Heitel & Associates, Inc., who has turned to Hole In One International to insure this very special golf event for the past few years.

While no one aced Number 16 this year, musician Alice Cooper (pictured to right) won the "Shot at Glory", picking up $40,000 for the Solid Rock Foundation. Brett Frazier from Waste Management, whose charity was Keep America Beautiful, came second, while former Phoenix police officer Jason Schechterle, whose charity is the 100 Club, came in third.

Raise More Money With A Golf Ball Drop!

Pago-Pago, American Samoa – Looking to raise more money at your golf event this season? Maybe it's time to add a golf ball drop to your event! The people of American Samoa are another step closer to the dream of having their first community swimming pool thanks to the Rotary Club's 6th Annual Golf Tournament & $50,000 Golf Ball Drop.

Contestants in the golf ball drop purchase one of 1000 numbered golf balls which are then dropped from a bucket truck onto a target “hole”. If any of the five numbered balls falling closest to the hole match a preselected lucky golf ball number, the "owner" wins $50,000, paid for by Hole In One International's sister company, Odds On Promotions.
While there wasn't a $50,000 grand prize winner, three lucky ball-buyers still received some fantastic prizes. The first-place winner, Spencer Sword, took home a round-trip ticket to Honolulu, courtesy of Hawaiian Airlines. The second-place winner, Jackie Young, picked up $500 and the third-place winner was Jeff Shively who won $250. This year's event helped the Rotarians to surpass their $100,000 fundraising goal getting them that much closer to a community pool.

Meet Hole In One International's Latest Millionaire!

Heber City, Utah - Chances are you've already seen, heard or read about Hole In One International's newest millionaire ...

Jason Hargett of Springville, Utah.

Not only was Hargett's million-dollar shot covered by every TV station in Salt Lake City, but his amazing hole in one was featured on The Golf Channel, The Early Show, The Ellen Show, Sky News Australia, USA Today, the Boston Herald, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Sun UK and of course, ESPN where he landed at #1 on the Top Ten plays of the Day!

And that's not all. Talk about your viral videos, in just a few short weeks, his prize-winning shot has been seen by over a million viewers on YouTube - and counting.

Now, in case you've missed the buzz surrounding this headline-making hole in one, Hargett won the million-dollar prize in a post-tournament shoot-out sponsored by the Villas at Poipu Kai during the the Mark Eaton Celebrity Golf Classic at Red Ledges.

While we can tell you all about how Hargett was a somewhat reluctant last minute replacement with a sore wrist, or about the fact that he was using a borrowed club - or even how he fell down as he charged the hole after the shot, we know you'd rather see it.

So here you go...
